It is hard to believe another week has past. Time is definitely flying by. (Time actually does not exists as we think, but that’s for another day.) So, happy Sunday! I hope this finds you all well. The next attitude is:
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (Bible Matthew 5:6)
In my younger years I knew something wasn’t right. I intuitively knew there had to be more to life than what I was experiencing. That caused frustration, despair, and, finally, depression. One of the reasons I was so frustrated was that I could not understand why I wanted more, why I was hungry for more. I had a wonderful husband, three great children, a great house, and no worries for money. Why wasn’t I content? I could not figure it out.
The best way I can explain it is that it’s as if I would be hungry, go into the refrigerator and, not knowing what I wanted, just grab anything. Within a half hour or so, I would be back in the refrigerator trying to figure out what I wanted, never satisfied. I finally realized what I was missing was a relationship with the UNKNOWN, GOD SOURCE, DIVINE.
Once my hunger changed from wanting something out in the world to the internal or eternal—WOW! I didn’t realize how similar these two words are—my life slowly started to seem brighter and more vibrant. This does not stop, there is always more to experience. We are not here to survive, we are here to thrive. This is done by hungering for more. I still know there is more and THAT will never end.
When we desire or hunger for worldly attainment above righteousness, our heart becomes heavy. On the other hand, if we stay true to ourselves and share Truth, it opens our heart. It helps awaken us.
How many times have you done something that you intuitively knew you should not? For example, you lie about something. It does not sit well with you, but your ego says, “It’s not that big of a deal. I didn’t cheat Uncle Sam out of that much money. Besides, everyone does it.”
Yes the ego might be happy, but that is not what makes our spirit thrive. Our spirit thrives in honesty, purity, and innocence. Our ego might be unhappy, but our true self is joyous. Our true self thrives. Righteousness means you are right with yourself, right with others, right with God, and, of course, right with Spirit.
The heart is a powerful magnetic center, so as our hearts are awakened, not only does our spirit thrive but also our body and soul. As you awaken, wisdom will be revealed and further rightness will come into your life, which is what truly fulfills us.
Thank you for your time and have a vibrant week!
