Another Look

A Time of Transition

I talked last time about end times. Because the phrase causes fear, I suggested we change the phrase to something different—a time of transition. One of the reasons these times are so difficult is that many of us are trying to hold structure into place. The problem with that is no structure is lasting.

Things are not supposed to stay the same; things are meant to evolve. Just look how much humans have evolved. Look at the evolution of a small business growing into a large one. When it is small, one person wears all the hats; as it grows, the person has to delegate and share the hats with someone else, and eventually, they add other roles to the pot. At times, the business has to be restructured to accommodate the changes.

During all these changes, there are growing pains. How much pain depends on all involved. Some will embrace and allow the changes, while others will fight them. Some, who have lots of power will not want to give any of it up.

This is happening all around the world. There are those who are fighting with all their might to keep things the way they are. Maybe they are afraid of change or of losing power, money, or a number of other possibilities. At the bottom of it all is one word—fear. Screaming Mimi does not like change because she loses control. She likes everything safe, and that could mean keeping everything the same.

Mimi loves organizations and structure, while our spirit sees all things as organisms. An organism is a whole with interdependent parts, just like us humans. If organizations were run more like organisms, there would be flow, movement, and change. They would expand and contract as needed.

There would be no fighting the change—change is just what is. It is what it is, the beginning of wisdom. It is time to question what we see, to sit in quiet and listen to the inner voice. I am sure we will see things differently.

We see pain everywhere right now, and that can be frightening. However, we can choose to see the pain and understand that change is difficult for many. We need to allow the voice to teach us to see as Spirit sees; that is when organizations can start changing into organisms.

The more we grow and evolve into who we truly are—love in form—the more we help change the world. Not by demanding, fighting, or even killing but by being and becoming who we truly are. Wow! This is not where I expected this writing to go. I am sure there will be more on this topic in the future. One last thought: choose love over fear. Like the song says, “Be not afraid, I go before you always, come follow me and I will give you rest.” For me, that is Spirit singing directly to each and every person anywhere!
