I can be such a slow learner. I have peace knowing Divine is saying, “It’s ok, do it the way you want, but you are definitely making it hard on yourself. Knock your socks off.” Screaming Mimi says, great, (as the song goes) I did it my way. Forget my way—I want to do this as Divine sees best.
No matter what my intention, I keep listening to Screaming Mimi, causing myself unnecessary pain. Trying to see life as an observer is helpful but, oh-so hard. As observer, you notice the pain you’re in. You understand how you choose to see the scenario. Yet, as in a 3D movie, if you put the pair of glasses on, everything looks different. God is always handing us the glasses, but it is our choice to put them on.
The second sentence in that scripture is: This I keep on doing. I will keep on doing, until I choose to put the glasses on. Doing it my way is just a loop that keeps on playing, insanity.
I am choosing to share this because I AM NOT ALONE. Is there any hope for me? Absolutely, I will continue to do my work. I will do the exercises, mantras and prayers that help me, and Divine will do the rest.
When you have a discussion about something you want, it does not come to you. You have to do the work. “I want to be a big time CEO, but I will not work more than 30 hours a week.” That won’t happen. Same goes with God. We have to participate; we are co-creators.
If you’re in a hard place and ask for help, it is there for you, but you have to do your part. If you hate speaking up for yourself and you are bullied, then for it to end, you need to listen to the still, small voice. It will tell you what you need to do to stop the bullying.
Growing up, I called this the no-answer answer. At times, my dad would not respond to a problem; he would just let it unfold. Then VOILA! the no-answer answer. We were created as co-creators, which means we have to participate.
How do I participate in the creation that is unfolding: listen to the still small voice, (paraphrasing the end of the above verses). Divine, Source, God, Universe will give you all the answers. Sometimes the answer is, “Sit, be still, and wait.”
I need patience, but I pray, “God please hurry.” The Divine only supports and loves, NO MATTER WHAT WE GO THROUGH, or WHAT WE HAVE DONE. We are all One, birthed forth from the heart of God. At this time, I have to remind myself of this constantly or the loop continues, or the scratched record stays on the same spot, never moving forward.
I will continue to do my work by listening to that sweet, beautiful voice. There is no sanity without it. My prayer is that this reaches whoever needs the message. There is a way out of insanity. Let’s become sane together. Thanks for your time.
