Sunday Morning Thoughts

Life is like an Iceberg

When someone sees an iceberg, they think of just what they see. Yet, 90% of the iceberg cannot be seen because it is under the water. At times, we look at people and think we know who they are by what they say, how they dress, how they behave. When their behavior is not in alignment with compassion, joy, goodness and, most importantly, Love, we judge without looking under the surface and seeing the magnificent truth about them.

Under the surface of the water, each iceberg reveals a striking deep blue color.  Anyone who has seen the bottom is in awe; it floats in the ocean and can be seen as separate from the ocean, however, in truth, it is part of the ocean. That is who we are. We might perceive ourselves as separate from each other, but we are part of everything and everyone.

When we look through our physical senses, we are missing so much.  How can we judge someone if we have so little information? Most is unseen. The one thing we can always do is remind ourselves they are no different than you or me.  That they too were created by Love and are loved, loving and lovable, no matter what they are expressing to us.

When we react or act out from the part of the iceberg we see, you can bet that is Screaming Mimi causing havoc in our lives. When you stay connected with your divine self, you are bringing the striking deep blue of the iceberg to the surface and the divine is seen within you.

Just like God is the light, you can be a source of light too. You can bring the hope to others by being a good example.

The Good News Bible

Instead of a good example, I would say you are sharing the truth of who you are.

Mimi wants to create all by herself, instead of creating in harmony with the Creator. She wants the world to be her stage and act out from different personas depending on whom she is with and what she needs.

When you are authentic, there is no different persona; there is only one, which is your authentic self.  Growing up, I had many personas. The one I presented to my parents, the one that I was when I was with jocks, another one when I was with the nerds, and the one I was when I was with potheads. Then I wondered why nobody really understood me. No light shining there or peace, I was just allowing Mimi to do her thing creating what she wanted.

When you bring what is within you to be seen by all, there is peace.  No one will be accepted all the time, and the amazing thing is you don’t care because you are at peace and know you are never alone.  Not only does the striking deep blue fill you but you start coming in touch with other beings that our physical eyes cannot see. You have a knowing that angels, ascended masters (some call saints), and others are always with you to guide you, and help you.

Let’s be courageous and look into ourselves and lay to rest all our different personas so we can become our authentic selves that are loved, loving and lovable all the time.

Thank you for your time today. May your day be filled with kindness and love.
