Sunday Morning Thoughts

Abba

I once said, “It is not the words that you say but the energy you place in the words. The tone of your voice and the love you feel as you say or do anything matters.” For example, you could read the New York Times to a baby lovingly, and the child would respond to the love. Theresa's Plan to Save the World

How Theresa Plans to Save the World: Responsibility

The Problem with Perceptions

This can be painful at first, but slowly it becomes somewhat enjoyable. Why? It is freeing. You feel lighter, happier. How to Get Out of Zombie-land

Zombie-land is a place we all have lived—and still do at times, possibly even all the time. We think that we think our own thoughts, beliefs, and opinions but in truth we bought into what we were told. Zombie-land is the world created by our socialization and blind faith in the authorities we meet throughout life. You cannot leave Zombie-land until you start questioning everything. Our world lives by the ego's rules—Screaming Mimi's rules—and we are taught to follow them. Mimi thinks she is the Queen, but it is time to dethrone her. For it is Mimi (the ego) who rules Zombie-land. When we dethrone Mimi, we get out of Zombie-land.

Yesterday I was told some sad news about someone I have been judging quite a bit over the last few months. It really doesn’t matter what I was thinking and, I'm sad to admit, saying about this person—the only thing that matters is that I was judging.
