This day I remembered was also a snowy day mixed with ice. At the time, we did not have someone to plow. With my trusty shovel, I began to remove the snow. Under the snow was a thick layer of ice. I was inspired to make this ordeal a prayer. As I was breaking the ice, I set the intention to also break up patterns and negative thoughts within me.

Time to Start Training
Just like a body builder who has to work day in and day out to build muscles, we, as spiritual beings, must develop our spiritual muscles. That takes practice and repetition. We need to be gentle with ourselves because, just like a body builder, it does not happen overnight.

A Bug Bite to Awareness
I have been told by many of my teachers, "Attention brings awareness to the moment." That is exactly what happened to me. Sitting in quiet, my attention became totally about the bug bite, yet playing pickle ball I did not even know I had a bite till the game was over because my attention was on the game.
